Your Family Session
Family photo sessions with Laurine are easygoing and largely improvised, with just enough direction to help everyone feel confident.
Rather than ticking off a shot list, Laurine works around what’s happening . That might mean your toddler never stops moving, the baby needs feeding halfway through, or the dog decides it belongs in every photo. That’s all part of it. There’s no expectation for anyone to behave a certain way or get it ‘right’. No need to point at the camera and ask your child to smile. The real ones are way better!
Family sessions can be just you at home with a new baby, out for a walk in the hills, or somewhere meaningful you like to spend time together. They can include grandparents, cousins, or the whole extended family coming together for a reunion, or a family trip to the Cotswolds from abroad.
These sessions are about documenting whatever family life means for you.

Focus & Style
Laurine’s focus is on documenting your family relaxed and focused on each other. If you’re not used to being photographed, Laurine is great at guiding you enough to help you feel confident. If you are used to being photographed, there is sometimes a habit of having to perform for the camera, which Laurine will try to break by gently relaying the focus on connecting with your family. The emphasis stays on what is already there rather than directing every detail.
The pace is calm and not purely time-restricted. Babies are held, soothed, and fed when needed. Parents are encouraged to stay close to each other, move naturally, and enjoy their time together with their loved ones. There is guidance throughout, but it is subtle and responsive.
Her style is nostalgic with soft tones, lots of movement, and deep colours. In outdoor settings Laurine works with natural light, and simple styling allow the focus to stay on your faces and connection. The photographs feel alive and familiar, as if they could have happened on a good day together rather than during a formal photo session. But then with an artistic ‘something something’.
The final images are edited carefully by hand. No faces are run through AI software and no moments are smoothed into something they were not. The aim is to preserve the feeling of this stage of your family life, so the photographs continue to matter as time passes and still bring you back to this time.

It’s always your choice if you would like to keep your photos private and/or offline. This will be supported by your contract. Laurine will never share your photos on her website or social media channels without your permission.
